Wilson is culture and community.

Chosen as the top small town in Country Living's "The 10 Best Small Towns in the U.S." feature, Wilson holds a special allure for both residents of the South and visitors from throughout our country. It serves as a captivating destination for those seeking an unconventional experience.

Nestled along the Blues Highway, within the expansive reach of the Mississippi Flyway, and positioned along historical trade paths that continue to influence national trade, Wilson exudes a distinctive cultural abundance. This vibrant character finds its expression in various forms, from the rhythms of music to the flavors of food and the creations of art that permeate the entire community.

Tom Beckbe founder Radcliff Menge may have put it best: "There are places that cast a shadow much bigger than their geographical footprint, and Wilson has become one of those places. To our customers, the Delta is the center of the sporting world. The Delta's got a great reputation for grit. Now Wilson is its polished-up diamond."

Hampson Archeological Museum

The Hampson Archeological Museum, located on the Wilson Town Square, displays the archeological findings of Dr. James K. Hampson. At the Hampson Museum, you can view the artifacts found by Dr. Hampson and learn about the culture of the pre-Columbian people who inhabited the Arkansas Delta from 1400-1650 A.D.

The Hampson immerses visitors in a cultural and historical treasure trove, connecting the vibrant past and diverse heritage of our region. As you step through its doors, you will embark on a journey through time, discovering the captivating stories and artifacts that showcase the deep roots of the Mississippi Delta. The museum’s exhibits beautifully depict the traditions, lifestyles, and contributions of the people who have called this beautiful area home.

Admission to The Hampson Museum is complimentary and open to the public Wednesday-Saturday, 8AM-5 PM and Sunday 1-5PM
