Wilson, Arkansas Announces Partnership with Delta Renewal Group to Build First New Homes in City Limits in Years

WILSON, ARK. — Wilson, Arkansas, the storied Mississippi County community known as "America's Village", has announced a partnership with Delta Renewal Group to construct the first new homes built within Wilson city limits in years. The initial phase will bring two custom-designed residences to the village, with additional homes planned as demand grows, marking a significant residential milestone in Wilson's ongoing efforts.

The new homes will be custom designed to complement Wilson's signature Tudor Revival architectural character — the English village aesthetic that has defined the town since 1925, when the founder's son returned from a honeymoon in England and began rebuilding every structure in the style. Delta Renewal Group, a Mississippi County-based custom home design and construction firm led by builder Josh Chipman, was selected for its deep roots in the region and its history of quality craftsmanship in surrounding communities.

"Having renovated buildings on the Wilson village square many years ago, it's great to return to this charming community with the full support of city leadership and the Lawrence Family. We're excited to build quality homes that will stand for generations to come."

— Josh Chipman, Delta Renewal Group

The announcement reflects a continued commitment to making Wilson one of the South's most compelling small-town destinations. Since The Lawrence Group, led by agribusiness leader Gaylon Lawrence Jr., acquired Wilson in 2010, more than a decade of investment has produced a curated village square with boutique shops and farm-to-table dining, The Louis — a 16-room luxury hotel — guided canoe trips through Mississippi River Expeditions, and cultural landmarks including the Hampson Archeological Museum. Wilson has been recognized by Country Living, The New York Times, Garden & Gun, and Southern Living.

"Our goal for Wilson has always been to cultivate the best place in America to live, work, visit, learn, play, and invest. This partnership is making good on our commitment to providing the best place to live, and we couldn't be happier about it."

— Jeff Kmiec, CEO, America's Village: Wilson, Arkansas

Until now, Wilson's revitalization has focused primarily on hospitality and commercial investment. The construction of new homes signals that Wilson is ready to welcome permanent residents — a key part of the village's vision to grow its community and become the best place in America to live.
